Changing the brightness of the picture

Function key Brightness:
- | Press this function key to change the brightness of the picture. |
The bar at the lower edge of the display is used for setting the brightness of the picture. It gives you an optical impression of the level of brightness being set for the picture. The current setting is indicated by a colour field on the scale.- | Turn the central rotary/push knob to change the brightness of the picture. |
| Turning the knob anti-clockwise increases the brightness and turning clockwise decreases it. The result of the change in setting can be seen on the television picture in the background whilst the rotary/push knob is being turned. |
Note
The bar at the lower edge of the screen indicates the last function to which changes were made. This function is indicated by a circle symbol in front of the function key lettering.
Note
As an alternative to pressing the function keys Contrast or Colour, you can also press the central rotary/push knob if you want to make more than one alteration to the picture. You will then move from one function to the next in the order brightness, contrast and colour. The circle symbol in front of the function key will indicate which picture characteristic can currently be altered.
