Setting the speed-dependent volume (GALA)

GALA, the speed-dependent volume control, is a function which, as the vehicle speed increases, automatically raises the volume of audio and video sources (TV, CD or radio) which are on, so that the subjective volume remains the same.

  Note
Changes made in the speed-dependent volume cannot be heard when the vehicle is not moving. Therefore you should make changes in this function while the vehicle is in motion.

Function key GALA:
-Press this function key to regulate the speed-dependent volume adjustment.
The coloured marking of the function key GALA and the top bar indicate the selection.
-Turn the central rotary/push knob to regulate the volume for the GALA function.

Turn the knob anti-clockwise to lower the volume and clockwise to increase it. Turning the knob anti-clockwise to its stop switches off the function.

  Note
As an alternative to pressing a function key, you can jump from the current function to the next one in the menu by pressing the central rotary/push knob. The bar will move down one position every time the central rotary/push knob is pressed. The marking of the function key changes accordingly. If the bottom bar (announcement volume) is selected, pressing the central rotary/push knob returns to the top bar (GALA).
